Our client is a mid-sized engineering/architectural consulting firm focused on forensic investigation and repair/rehabilitation of older structures. They are growing in spite of the new construction slump and they need several engineers and an architect with expertise in building envelope and forensic consulting.
This is NOT a position for an engineer/architect focused on new structure design. They need several specialists with building envelope problem I.D. and correction experience.
Here's what they need you to do:
Develop and maintain client relationships
Perform field investigations and write reports
Prepare proposals
Coordinate and direct activities for each project
Oversee and mentor staff
Be active in the building community
Author or co-author technical articles
Above all you must understand and embrace the concept of entrepreneurship and be driven to honestly and ethically help build profit for the firm's stockholders.
Minimum requirements:
BS, MS preferred in engineering or architecture from a well-recognized US University
Professionally licensed
Proficient in Microsoft Office, plus PowerPoint and Access
Extraordinary written and oral communication skills
Substantial knowledge of building technology and the repair of older building/structural systems
10 years of experience as a consultant in building technology problems and/or forensics
US Citizen or Green Card holder
In addition to your resume, please provide a well written project list describing your experience in building technology problem solving on existing structures.
This is a full time salaried position with a full benefits package.
